This facility features two year-round ice arenas. Both venues’ environments are controlled by state-of-the-art, energy-efficient geoexchange cooling systems and lit using daylight-harvesting technology. The first rink offers seating for 600 spectators in a stadium-style gallery, as well as a two-sided press box and a reception suite with a fireplace overlooking the playing surface. When its boards are removed, the smaller 150-seat rink will have the ability to transform into an all-school theater, capable of seating up to 1,500 people and hosting special school-year events and a summer choral festival.
Additional amenities include 14 locker rooms, athletics offices, a reception area, a conference suite, a 4,000 SF fitness and stretching center, a 2,500 SF sports medicine suite, and equipment storage and laundry facilities. Also constructed were baseball and soccer fields, track and field venues and sitework for a new maintenance facility. New campus utilities infrastructure was established for the athletic facility and maintenance facility.
